Hi Ves,

Again not too sure what you mean. The only thing I can think of is that a level of encryption was introduced to this site a few days ago and this is exemplified by the address changing from http://exkiap.net to https://exkiap.net yet this change should have been seamless in so much as if you continue to type in or paste or execute from a bookmark the URL http://exkiap.net it will automatically jump to the secure address indicated by the s without prompting.

So I don't know.

Peter.

Mine is https so no problems there. But in the list on left hand side the only link that does not respond is the addresses link. Nada busta. All the other links work OK.

Ves,

You are right, I don't know what has happened here so I'm going to have refer this matter to my IT mentor, John McGregor, in the mean continue to use the link: https://exkiap.net/cgi-bin/password.cgi

Peter.

p.s. In the past few minutes of continued fiddling I think that I have discovered the problem, should be OK by tonight.

Now with more fiddling it would seem that many of the links in the left hand side of the web site have become non-functional because of the introduction of increased security feature to this site recently known as SSL refer http://info.ssl.com/article.aspx?id=10241 so I'll have to work my way through this over the next few days/weeks.

Hi Peter,
The addresses drop down still does not work. Any progress on that front?

Ves

Mike & Ves,

FOJ Monday 6th August: Here we are at Lightning Ridge 9 mile base camp for clapped out exkiaps forensically working their way through the exkiap web site to sort out the address list problem. First here is "our good mate" the web design guru John McGregor:

then there is yours truly:

and bugger me dead, it is actually raining here, well pitter pattering at least:

and this is the wet afternoon/evening beer pit:

Okay now to the problem of the address list:

The problem has been rectified, the address list link has been upgraded however you may still have a problem (if) because you may still be using a link that is stored in your (local) cache. If this is the situation then you need to clear your cache.

First, the simplest way, press F5 and this will read all the link addresses from the web site and replace the the superseded cached addresses. If this doesn't work then clear the caches in your web browsers.

In respect of Internet Explorer (MicroSoft) go to "Tools" and select "Internet Options" and delete browsing history:

and in respect of Chrome (Google):

Cheers - Peter & John.
